The new Mercedes EQA Coupe has been spotted testing, and it’s an all-new compact electric car that’s smaller than the EQE and EQS saloons.
This four-door coupe-style saloon may end up replacing the Mercedes CLA when it goes on sale at some point in 2025.
New Mercedes EQA Coupe design
The new Mercedes EQA Coupe is in the early stages of development at the moment, so it’s pretty well covered for now.
You can just about see some slim headlights poking out of the camouflage at the front that look pretty similar to those found on the Mercedes CLA. Beyond this, you can’t really see much detail – yet.
The side profile is similar to the current Mercedes CLA. There’s a low, sporty roofline and the rear end is a touch longer than the Mercedes A-Class saloon. The wheels you see on this test car are unlikely to make production.
The rear end is the most covered part, and those round tail lights are just dummy units. You’ll have to wait until the later stages of development to see more of the rear-end design.
New Mercedes EQA Coupe motors and batteries
No details have been revealed regarding the batteries and motors for the new Mercedes EQA Coupe, however it will be based on an all-new platform, meaning it likely won’t share parts with any current Mercedes electric cars.

The current entry-level electric Mercedes is the EQA SUV. That car gets a 66.5kWh battery with up to 311 miles of range. You can expect this new model to go further than that, possibly getting close to 400 miles.
New Mercedes EQA Coupe price and release date
This new Mercedes EQA Coupe is still in the early stages of development, so it’ll be a while before you see it hit the streets.
Expect an official reveal at some point in 2025. As for the price, it’ll likely set you back quite a bit more than the Mercedes CLA, possibly more than £50,000.
